| The delivery of asynchronous media-rich
content over the web can happen instantly by utilizing the power of CD-Web hybrids. CD-Web Hybrids use both the mass storage capabilities of CD-ROMs and the
dynamic features of the world wide web. As a result, very large media files
can be integrated into instructional web sites and downloaded by student
users despite the current bandwidth limitations.
Click on "Overview" to
begin a tour through the use and development of media-rich hybrids. During
this overview you will be prompted to see demonstrations of course segments
using an actual CD-ROM. A demo CD-ROM is available.
The development of the hybrid delivery system at
Midlands Technical College has been made possible by the South Carolina
Commission on Higher Education; the Midlands Technical College Foundation; the
MTC Humanities Department; the MTC Center for Teaching and Learning
Enhancement; the MTC Instructional Delivery Department; and the MTC Vice President for
Educational Affairs. |
